VISA to
AUSTRALIA
In
Thailand

introduction
VFS (Thailand) Ltd currently has an agreement with the Australian Embassy Bangkok to provide Australian visa application services in Thailand. Applicants can lodge their visa application with VFS in person at the Australian Visa Application Centre in Bangkok or at their nearest any of the sixteen Thai Post courier centres selected by VFS across Thailand.

This arrangement for The Australian Visa Application Centre to accept visa applications does not affect the legal requirements for visa applications and the decision-making process for the grant of Australian visas remains with the Australian Embassy Bangkok.

All applications will be assessed and decided by the Visa and immigration Office at the Australian Embassy Bangkok, in accordance with Australian immigration legislation and policy. The Australian Visa Application Centre staff are not employees of the Australian government and do not have the delegation to assess or decide applications.

The Australian Visa Application Centre is managed by VFS (Thailand) Ltd and offers visa services which include collection of visa application documents with relevant visa application charges and for returning of passports to applicants. The operations and services by The Australian Visa Application Centre are within the guidelines of client service principles of The Australian Government Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).

The Australian Visa Application Centre also provides a 24-hour facility for you to track your
on-line tracking of passports

Visa applications may also be lodged at the Australian Embassy Bangkok by appointment only. See: www.thailand.embassy.gov.au
VISA APPLYING PROCESS
Step 1 : You or your authorised representative can submit your visa application in person at the Australian Visa Application Centre (AVAC) in Bangkok.

To avoid delays when lodging your visa application you should include the following:

Completed visa application form
Passport
Photocopy of the data page of passport (passport page with photo)
Visa Application Charge (VAC) see: www.immi.gov.au
Supporting documents for your application as advised by the Australian Embassy Bangkok.
VFS Service charge of 600 THB for all visa types and THB 535 (including VAT) for Visa Evidencing per passport is applicable. Additional charges apply for courier services.  Payment through credit cards is not accepted by the Australian Visa Application Centre

Step 2 : Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – do remember we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how much time it will take to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Embassy of Australia to decide on
Step 3 : Please go to the link “All about visas” to understand details of all the visa categories
Step 4 : Please ensure you read the security regulation notices before you visit the visa application centre / Embassy
Step 5 : Your passport may be collected from the Australian Visa Application Centre or you may also choose to pay additional charges to have your passport returned to you by courier.
